She played a key role in establishing the Centre College After-School Program for immigrant and first-generation K–12 students and has facilitated internships for the Lincoln Scholars Program in Guatemala and Costa Rica. She collaborates with universities in Colombia, including Universidad del Norte and Universidad de la Guajira, on research and pedagogical development.
She is actively involved in academic teams focused on diversity, inclusion, and international education. Her work bridges classroom learning with real-world engagement, especially through partnerships with organizations like FIMRC and Safe Passage.
