Geneviève Martin is an Assistant Professor at Laval University's Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, Faculty of Medicine. Her research focuses on clinical and cognitive neuroscience, with expertise in sexual violence, paraphilias, intimacy, and mental health. She directs the certificate in sexual health and the microprogram in sexual violence at Laval University.

Research Interests: Dr. Martin investigates relational and sexual functioning in sex offenders, emphasizing protective/risk factors, developmental antecedents, and paraphilic sexuality. She also studies sexual health in psychiatric populations to improve treatment integration. Her work highlights the complexity of intimacy in sexual offending and aims to equip clinicians with tools to address sexual dimensions in therapy.
