Genevieve Digby

Dr. Genevieve Digby is an Associate Professor in the Division of Respirology and Sleep Medicine at Queen's University, cross-appointed to the Department of Oncology. She holds affiliations with the Translational Institute of Medicine (TIME) and the Queen’s Laboratory for Molecular Pathology (QLMP). Her clinical practice focuses on lung cancer diagnostics and general respirology/internal medicine. She chairs the Physician Quality Committee at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and serves as a Clinician-Scholar at Queen's University.

Dr. Digby earned her MD from Queen's University (2010), followed by residencies in Internal Medicine (2013) and Respirology (2015). She completed an MSc in Healthcare Quality (2016). Her research bridges clinical practice and health systems innovation, emphasizing quality improvement in healthcare delivery models, patient-centered care, and reducing diagnostic delays in lung cancer. She develops educational programs for healthcare quality methodologies and collaborates on multidisciplinary cancer care initiatives.

Her work addresses respiratory oncology comorbidities, medical wait time reduction, and guideline adherence. Notable projects include optimizing COPD management in lung cancer patients and evaluating multidisciplinary lung cancer clinics. She contributes to national and international conferences on healthcare quality transformation and medical education.
