Gene Tekmyster

Gene Tekmyster, DO, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. Double board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, he specializes in non-operative management of spinal disorders, regenerative treatments, and advanced interventional spine care. Dr. Tekmyster serves as physician consultant for the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and USC Trojans Athletics, and as team physician for U.S. Ski & Snowboard teams.

His research focuses on regenerative therapeutics for chronic low back pain, spinal stenosis management, and optimizing function recovery. Clinical interests include:

• Sports injury rehabilitation
• Minimally invasive pain management
