Gemma Eibes

Gemma Eibes is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC). She holds a BSc (2001), MSc, and PhD (2007) in Chemical Engineering from USC. Her research focuses on enzymatic technologies for biorefinery applications, waste valorization, and environmental remediation. She has led projects such as the CREPÉ and PETzyme initiatives, addressing polyester recycling and biorefinery strategies for agro-industrial byproducts like apple pomace.
