Dr. Geetha Surendran is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Mercy College's School of Health and Natural Sciences. She specializes in interdisciplinary research focusing on green chemistry, analytical chemistry, and neuroimmunotoxicology. Her work bridges STEM education and molecular science, emphasizing project-based learning and undergraduate research. Dr. Surendran has contributed to developing green sunscreen alternatives and advancing chemical graph theory applications in molecular analysis.
Her research spans environmental safety, material characterization, and neuroimmune system responses to toxic agents. Notable contributions include studies on hydroxycinnamic acids in sunscreens and interdisciplinary STEM curriculum design.
