Gaurav Pandey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology & Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University. He holds affiliated faculty positions in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on autonomous systems, reinforcement learning, sensor fusion, and mapping/localization. He earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan (2013) after completing degrees at IIT Roorkee (B-Tech, 2006).
Research interests include perception for autonomous vehicles, multi-agent motion prediction, and LiDAR-camera integration. He leads the Computer Vision & Robotics Lab, advancing navigation solutions for autonomous robots through deep learning and sensor fusion.
