Gaurav Jashnani

Gaurav Jashnani is an Assistant Professor at Hampshire College, holding appointments in Psychology, Africana Studies, and Social Transformation. They are a licensed psychotherapist and co-founder of the Challenging Male Supremacy Project, with a focus on institutionalized racism, social change, and embodied experiences of harm and healing.

• Education: Master's in Counseling (Columbia University), Doctorate in Psychology (CUNY Graduate Center) with certificates in Africana Studies and American Studies.
• Research Interests: Racial justice movements, transformative justice frameworks, cumulative dehumanization, racial capitalism, and neurodivergence in disability studies.

Publications span psychology, criminology, and education journals, addressing systemic racism in universities, policing impacts on communities of color, and collaborative models for challenging male supremacist violence. Their funded work includes projects by the Tides Foundation, AERA, Fulbright, and other institutions.

Collaborations include partnerships with Critical Resistance, Creative Interventions, generation FIVE, and Communities United for Police Reform. Courses designed by Jashnani explore Race & Identity in Counseling, Autism & Neurodivergence, and Racial Justice Movements, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches and lived experience.
