Dr. Gary Meyer is a Professor at the Diederich College of Communication, Marquette University. He holds a PhD in Communication from Michigan State University, an MS in Resource Development, and a BBA in Finance and Economics. His professional roles include Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Associate Dean at the Diederich College.
His research focuses on Leadership, Persuasion, and Health Communication. Notable projects include studies on diffusion theory, violence prevention curricula, and technology integration in education, alongside health interventions like smoking cessation programs and gun safety campaigns.
Awarded Excellence in Teaching and the National Communication Association’s Distinguished Book of the Year, Dr. Meyer has also received multiple Dean’s Recognition Awards for Scholarship, Teaching, and Service.
