Gary Habermas is a Distinguished Research Professor of Apologetics and Philosophy at Liberty University's Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary & Graduate School. He holds a Ph.D. in History and Philosophy of Religion from Michigan State University (1976), an M.A. in Philosophical Theology/Christian Thought from the University of Detroit (1973), and a B.R.E. from William Tyndale College (1972).
His research focuses extensively on the historical, philosophical, and theological aspects of Jesus' resurrection, with over 50 books (half dedicated to resurrection studies), 90+ book chapters, and 200+ journal articles/publications. He specializes in analyzing historical evidence for the resurrection and engages in interdisciplinary apologetics.
Habermas has been a visiting/adjunct professor at 15+ graduate schools worldwide and has delivered approximately 2,000 lectures at universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, and Notre Dame.
