He has collaborated with institutions like the University of Southampton and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Education: BSc and MSc in Oceanography, PhD in Environmental Analytical Chemistry.
Research interests emphasize innovative sampling techniques (e.g., Chemcatcher, DGT) for pollutants in aquatic systems. He leads projects on nutrient dynamics, sediment resuspension, and benthic-pelagic coupling, supported by NERC grants and industry partnerships with UK water companies.
Awards: Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Editor-in-Chief of 'Continental Shelf Research', and member of the NERC Peer Review College.
Advising: Supervises PhD students in environmental aquatic chemistry, with six completed theses listed. Active in grant-funded initiatives such as the Shelf-Sea Biogeochemistry project.
