Garret Miller

Garret Miller is an Assistant Professor of Biology in the College of Innovation and Technology at The University of Michigan-Flint, teaching Organic Chemistry Lab I (CHM 331) and maintaining office hours in Biology - MSB 264. Previously, he served as a Research Scientist at Manus in Waltham, Massachusetts from 2022 to 2025.

His educational qualifications include:

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Michigan State University (2022)
• B.A. in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College (2016)

Miller's research program focuses on Biosynthetic Pathway Discovery, integrating biochemical, molecular, and organic chemistry approaches to elucidate natural product biosynthesis. His work bridges fundamental biochemical mechanisms with practical applications in natural product chemistry, particularly examining enzymatic pathways in organic molecular frameworks.
