Dr. Gargi Sawhney is Associate Professor in Psychological Sciences at Auburn University. With a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Old Dominion University and prior appointments at University of Minnesota Duluth and Clemson University, her research centers on occupational health psychology—specifically stress and safety in high-risk industries. Secondary interests include careless responding in surveys.
Research Focus: Occupational stress mechanisms; Workplace safety behaviors; Coping and recovery interventions; Economic factors in worker wellbeing; Remote work challenges.
Methodologies: Utilizes meta-analyses, daily diary studies, and longitudinal designs to examine individual and organizational predictors of worker health and safety outcomes.
