Gareth Puttock

Gareth Puttock serves as a Senior Lecturer and School Technologies Lead at the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), Manchester Metropolitan University, based at the Manchester Technology Centre. He plays a pivotal role in integrating technological infrastructure across architectural education and practice within the school.

His research centers on architectural technology and digital design methodologies, with specific expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems. He actively explores sustainable architecture frameworks and urban design applications, emphasizing adaptive reuse of built environments and contemporary architectural practices. His work bridges traditional design principles with computational tools to address modern urban challenges.

As School Technologies Lead, Puttock oversees digital resource deployment, software ecosystems, and technical training for students and faculty. He contributes to the PSA Mentoring Service, providing academic guidance across MSA's degree programs including the BA (Hons) Architecture, Master of Architecture (MArch), and MA in Architecture and Urbanism.
