Gao-Lei Hou

Prof. Gao-Lei Hou is a Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China, leading the 'Cluster Precision Spectroscopy and Structure Manipulation' laboratory. His research focuses on atomic and molecular clusters, spectroscopy, dynamics, and quantum chemical calculations, with applications in catalytic energy conversion, laboratory astrophysics, and functional materials. He develops advanced instrumentation for multi-dimensional control of cluster size/shape and high-resolution spectroscopy across UV-Vis to IR ranges.

Research Techniques: Laser ablation, electrospray ionization, molecular beam, time-of-flight mass spectrometry, photoelectron spectroscopy, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Working Groups: WG1 and WG2.
