Gang Liu

Gang Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles. His office is located in MS 6338, with office hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3pm to 3:50pm, and by appointment. Contact via email at gang@math.ucla.edu.

Research Focus

Prof. Liu specializes in symplectic geometry and topology, with emphasis on:

• Gromov-Witten theory: Foundational frameworks and analytical methods
• Quantum cohomology & Floer homology: Multiplicative structures and equivalence principles
• Perturbation theory: Higher-degree smoothness in analytical contexts

His recent work advances the mathematical rigor of Gromov-Witten invariants through function-space analysis and group actions.
