Professor Gail Eskes is a faculty member in the Departments of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, and the Division of Neurology at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Medicine. She leads a $2.8M multidisciplinary project developing cognitive assessment tools for older adults and those with brain disorders. Her research focuses on neuropsychology, aging, cognition, and neurological conditions like stroke and Parkinson’s disease. She holds a PhD from UC Berkeley and has affiliations with the Brain Repair Centre and Healthy Minds Research.

She investigates interventions such as prism adaptation and combined aerobic-cognitive training to improve cognitive function in stroke survivors and older adults.
