Gabriella Menczel

Gabriella Menczel is a habilitated Associate Professor at Eötvös Loránd University's Institute of Romance Studies, affiliated with the Department of Spanish Language and Literature. Her research focuses on Hispanic literature, particularly avant-garde movements, poetry analysis, and narrative techniques.

Her scholarly work examines intertextuality, subjectivity, and metaphysical themes in Latin American and Spanish literature. Key areas include the works of Octavio Paz, César Vallejo, and surrealist prose poetry traditions.

Recent publications explore temporal frameworks in prose poetry, maternal symbolism, and the intersection of art with philosophical concepts. She actively contributes to international academic colloquia on Hispanic studies.
