معرفی
Gabriele Pupo is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Department of Chemistry, affiliated with Corpus Christi College. He holds a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship and is funded by the EPSRC. His research focuses on asymmetric catalysis, particularly in fluorination chemistry, aiming to develop sustainable methods using organocatalysts and alkali metal fluorides.
Education: BSc/MSc in Chemistry from the University of Turin, Italy; PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research (Germany) under Benjamin List. Postdoctoral research at Oxford since 2017.
Research Interests: Design of novel organocatalysts for fluorination, scalable processes for pharmaceuticals/agrochemicals, and overcoming solubility challenges in asymmetric fluorinations. Envisions applications in both academia and industry.
Awards: EU Marie Curie Fellowship (2018–present), Junior Research Fellowship (Corpus Christi College), and EPSRC postdoctoral funding.
Grants/Funding: EPSRC and EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. Research Group: Véronique Gouverneur.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates within the Gouverneur group at Oxford, focusing on catalytic methodologies and fluorine chemistry.
