Gabriele Elisei

Gabriele Elisei is a Scientific Research Team Leader at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS) at The University of Queensland (UQ). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from UQ (2015) and has worked in both private and academic sectors.

• Research focuses on monitoring trace organic contaminants in drinking water catchments and marine environments using passive samplers.
• Expertise in preparation/extraction methods for Chemcatchers/Empore disks, PDMS samplers, and Micro Porous Tubes for PFAS monitoring.
• Collaborates with Dr. Ben Tscharke and Dr. Jake O'Brien on nationwide wastewater drug level studies.

His work includes projects on PFAS monitoring, neonicotinoid levels in freshwater, and dioxin analysis in wastewater treatment plants.
