Gabriela Rembarz

Dr. Gabriela Rembarz is an Assistant Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology's Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning within the Faculty of Architecture. Her research focuses on urban planning methodologies, participatory processes, public space revitalization, and infrastructure-driven urbanism. She leads the Quo vadis, Gdańsku? project funded by the European Economic Area Mechanism, engaging citizens in co-creating urban futures. Rembarz co-authored a 2025 monograph on integrating landscape economy into higher education and published extensively on energy transition in rural areas, architectural heritage preservation, and urban communication strategies.

Her academic work bridges theory and practice through projects like the TELOS initiative promoting sustainable urban development. Rembarz teaches urban design courses emphasizing participatory planning techniques and has pioneered urban mentoring methods in Poland. Her research interests include spatial justice, community-driven revitalization, and interdisciplinary approaches to resolving urban challenges. Recent publications highlight innovative frameworks for dialogue between professionals and residents in shaping equitable urban spaces.

Rembarz holds a PhD in Architecture and Urban Sciences from Gdańsk Tech and has received 26 documented academic achievements. She actively contributes to 7 professional organizations and manages 130+ teaching modules across urban planning disciplines.
