Gabriela Czibula

Dr. Gabriela Czibula is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She has served as faculty since 1998, progressing from Teaching Assistant to Lecturer (2002), Associate Professor (2005), and Professor (2009-present), specializing in programming languages and artificial intelligence.

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence (cum laude, 2003) from Babeș-Bolyai University
• Analyst-Programmer Diploma (MSc equivalent, 1992) from Babeș-Bolyai University

Research Interests: Her work spans Programming Languages (Imperative and Declarative Programming) and Artificial Intelligence with emphasis on Machine Learning applications, Data Mining, and Multiagent Systems. As coordinator of the Machine Learning Research Group (MLyRE), she applies these methodologies to bioinformatics, software engineering, and natural language processing, driving interdisciplinary innovation through the Research Institute on Artificial Intelligence (RIA).
