معرفی
Gabriel Turinici is a Professor of Mathematics at Paris Dauphine University - PSL and a member of the CEREMADE laboratory. He is a former member of the Universitary Institute of France and was educated at ENS Ulm. His academic career spans mathematical modeling, epidemiology, and artificial intelligence applications.
Professor Turinici's research focuses on mathematical epidemiology, artificial intelligence, and numerical simulations. He specializes in modeling epidemic spread dynamics, immune system responses to pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, and behavioral aspects of pandemic responses. His work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical applications in public health, media studies, and finance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made significant contributions to understanding transmission patterns, lockdown compliance behaviors, and immunity models.
Recently, Turinici has expanded his research to address AI-generated content and disinformation, particularly examining deepfakes and automatically generated news. His publications and public interventions reveal a consistent pattern of applying rigorous mathematical approaches to emerging societal challenges, from epidemic modeling to algorithmic media.
- Former Member of the Universitary Institute of France
Turinici actively collaborates across disciplines, working with biologists, medical researchers, and social scientists. He has led working groups at Paris Dauphine University during the pandemic and contributed to national discussions through the MODCOV19 initiative of the CNRS Institute of Mathematics. His advisory work includes interventions at the French National Assembly and collaborations with the Academies of Sciences and Medicine.
He leads research within the CEREMADE laboratory, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches that combine mathematics with biology, medicine, and social sciences to develop innovative solutions for complex problems in epidemiology and artificial intelligence.
