Gabriel Turinici

Gabriel Turinici is a Professor of Mathematics at Paris Dauphine University - PSL and a member of the CEREMADE laboratory. He is a former member of the Universitary Institute of France and was educated at ENS Ulm. His academic career spans mathematical modeling, epidemiology, and artificial intelligence applications.

Professor Turinici's research focuses on mathematical epidemiology, artificial intelligence, and numerical simulations. He specializes in modeling epidemic spread dynamics, immune system responses to pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, and behavioral aspects of pandemic responses. His work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical applications in public health, media studies, and finance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made significant contributions to understanding transmission patterns, lockdown compliance behaviors, and immunity models.

Recently, Turinici has expanded his research to address AI-generated content and disinformation, particularly examining deepfakes and automatically generated news.
