GEORGE OIKONOMIDES

George Oikonomides is a Professor of Economics at the Department of International and European Economic Studies, School of Economics, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds a BA and PhD from AUEB, and an MA from the University of York, UK. His research focuses on Macroeconomic Theory & Policy, public sector reforms using DSGE models, and climate change impacts via his collaboration with the Bank of Greece’s EMEKA committee. He has authored over 35 articles in top journals like European Economic Review and Review of Economic Dynamics, edited special journal editions, and co-authored books including The Economics of Climate Change and Models of Macroeconomic Theory.
