معرفی
Friedrich Solowjow is a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Institute for Data Science in Mechanical Engineering (DSME) at RWTH Aachen University. He earned his PhD summa cum laude from the Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS) and the University of Tübingen, with a thesis advisory committee including Professors Sebastian Trimpe, Ingo Steinwart, and Bernhard Schölkopf. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Institute (Akademischer Rat) and holds the Chair of Data Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Education:
- PhD, Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS) & University of Tübingen (summa cum laude)
Research Interests:
Friedrich’s work focuses on fundamental questions in comparing dynamical systems, enabling anomaly detection across engineering, biomedical, and economic systems. His development of event-triggered learning introduces a novel paradigm where systems learn precisely when necessary. This research intersects with control theory, machine learning, and statistical learning, emphasizing robust safety through entropy regularization and deformable object modeling.
