Friederike Grenner is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Zurich within the Department of Indian Studies, part of the Institute of Asian and Oriental Studies. She has been affiliated with the department since 2016, following prior roles as a Teaching and Research Assistant (2014–2016) and Administrative Assistant (2015–2023).
- Education: M.A. in Indian Philology and Science of Religion, Free University of Berlin (2007)
Her research focuses on Contemporary Hinduism, Goddess Worship, and Sacred Geography, with expertise in Hindi and Epic-Purāṇic literature, Tantric traditions, and interconnections between Sanskrit and vernacular texts. She also explores Sikhism and sacred site studies.
Her publications include a 2011 edited volume on Indian culture (Chili, Chai, Chapati) and a 2016 review of Sikh scriptures in the Orientalistische Literaturzeitung. Her work bridges literary analysis, religious practices, and cultural narratives.
