Friederike Eilts

Friederike Eilts is a Visiting Scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Linhardt Research Labs and Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies. She is also a PhD candidate at Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany (2018–present). Her roles include visiting scholarships at the University of British Columbia (2015), Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2016), and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2022).

• M.Sc. in Biological and Chemical Engineering, Technical University Braunschweig (2014–2017), focusing on adsorption energy distributions of sugars on zeolites

Her research spans viral aggregation in pharmaceutical production (with Prof. Wolff), vaccine development (e.g., second-gen COVID-19 vaccine at University Hospital Tuebingen), and environmental biotechnology (e.g., biological pesticides for sugar cane, water purification via ion exchange). She holds scholarships from the Heinrich Boell Foundation, Technical University of Braunschweig, and DAAD.

Her work is conducted in labs including Prof. Linhardt’s at RPI and Prof. Mohseni’s at UBC. She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in biotechnology and pharmaceutical engineering.
