معرفی
Frido Welker is an Associate Professor at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen, specializing in Biomolecular Palaeoanthropology. His research bridges ancient biomolecular methods with evolutionary studies, focusing on the last 1 million years of human history.
Welker's work centers on palaeoproteomics, using mass spectrometry to analyze ancient protein sequences from hominin and fauna remains across continents and the entire Pleistocene. He investigates evolutionary relationships between extinct hominins and explores behavioral patterns through zooarchaeological datasets.
Current projects include method development for enhancing proteome recovery from archaeological samples and phylogenetic analysis of extinct species. His research is supported by an ERC Starting Grant (PROSPER) and collaborations across Eurasia.
