Dr. Fredrik Velander serves as a Lecturer and Course Director for the Human Services Undergraduate Degree at Charles Sturt University's School of Social Work and Arts. He holds a PhD in International Health from Curtin University and a BSc in Social Work from Mid Sweden University. His academic roles include teaching, research leadership, and curriculum development in areas such as mental health education, kindness pedagogy, and climate change impacts on mental health. He is affiliated with the Environmental and Social Justice Research Group and the Social Equality, Intersectionality & Inclusion Research Group.
