Fredrick “Birdie” Sawyer is an Instructor in the Department of Dance and Facilities Manager at the University of Maine’s School of Performing Arts. He teaches hip-hop and advises the Hip Hop Club. His professional background includes teaching and touring with the Young Americans across the US, Europe, and Japan, as well as choreography roles for the UConn Dance Team and Boston Celtics pregame shows. Sawyer holds a BA in Communications from the New England School of Communications at Husson University.
