Frauke Pirk holds a Master's degree (M.A.) and works as a Scientific Associate at the Institute for Film, Theatre, Media and Cultural Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. She specializes in Digital Humanities and Data Science within film studies, contributing to projects like DiCi-Hub: A Research Hub for Digital Film Studies (funded by the VW Foundation). Her work integrates computational methods with cultural analysis.
Research Focus: Her expertise lies in Computer Philology, Data Literacy, and the application of digital methods in film studies. She actively develops tools for digital film analysis, such as the e-learning platform for foundational film seminars.
