معرفی
Frauke Klingelhoefer is a Professor at IFREMER, specializing in marine geophysics and tectonics. She leads oceanographic campaigns, such as MANTA-RAY and ANTITHESIS, focusing on seismic studies, continental margins, and subduction zones. Her work combines wide-angle seismic surveys with multichannel data analysis to understand crustal structures and fluid dynamics.
Education: Earned HDR (Habilitation) in 2008. Research focuses on tectonic processes in regions like the Lesser Antilles, Sumatra, and the South China Sea. She has contributed to projects like the FOCUS initiative, deploying fiber optic cables for fault monitoring.
Key areas include seismicity modeling, heat flow analysis, and submarine soundscapes. Collaborates internationally on initiatives such as the Haiti-Drill project and the Noisy Oceans book series. Her datasets are archived in SEANOE, including wide-angle seismic data from French Guyana and Morocco.
Labs/Teams: EMSO-Molène observatory, part of the Antipod and Geo-Ocean teams. Active in conferences like EGU General Assembly, presenting findings on transform margins and seismic activity patterns.
