François Recanati

Professor François Recanati holds the Chair in Philosophy of Language and Mind at Collège de France, where he leads colloquia, seminars, and research initiatives. His work bridges analytical philosophy with linguistics (Philosophy of Language) and cognitive science (Philosophy of Mind), focusing on mental files theory, indexicality, and transparent mental contents.

• Head of the "Esprit et Langage" team at Institut Jean-Nicod (CNRS/ENS/EHESS)
• Principal Investigator for two major projects:
  • "Essential Indexicality and Thoughts about Experience" (ANR-22-CE93-0004, 2023-2025)
  • "Mental Files: New Foundations" (ERC-2023-ADG, 2024-2029)
