François RAVIEZ is a Lecturer in French Literature at the University of Artois, affiliated with the UFR Letters and Arts. His academic background includes a Doctorate in French Literature (1995, University of Lille III) and a Habilitation to Supervise Research (2005, University of Paris-Sorbonne). He specializes in 17th-19th century French literature, with a focus on memoirs, aristocratic writings, and authors like Saint-Simon and Anna de Noailles. He has authored numerous editions of classic texts and contributed to scholarly works on literary history and spirituality.
His research interests span court culture, pre-romanticism, and literary analysis of historical figures. He has organized international conferences on topics like Saint-Simon's legacy and poetics of spirituality. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses, and he served as Secretary General of the Saint-Simon Society (2000-2012).
Key publications include editions of Saint-Simon’s *Memoirs*, analyses of Chateaubriand’s *Mémoires d’outre-tombe*, and studies on Anna de Noailles. His recent work explores intersections between literature and spirituality, as seen in *Poétique du spirituel* (2016) and *L’Image du maître spirituel* (2019).
