Her research focuses on energy transitions in the Global South, green financialization, and international relations in the Anthropocene. Key topics include energy colonialism, hydrogen justice, and decolonial/queer feminist critiques of global environmental governance. She leads the BMBF-funded GLOCALPOWER research group on African energy transitions and has contributed to debates on Just Energy Transition Partnerships and racial capitalism. Her work spans South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Ghana, and Namibia, with interdisciplinary methods blending discourse analysis and ethnography.
- Education: Political Science, Cultural Anthropology, and Economics from Tübingen, Birmingham, and Frankfurt Universities.
- Research Projects: EU-Africa relations, external energy governance with emerging powers, and the political ecology of climate policy.
Publications highlight socio-ecological conflicts in energy transitions, green financialization’s risks, and dissident perspectives on Anthropocene governance. She advocates for scholarship as activist-praxis, rooted in climate justice movements. Awards: None explicitly listed, but her work has influenced policy debates on energy equity and global environmental governance.
