Franz Mockrauer (1889–1962) was a German educator and scholar specializing in adult education. He served as a lecturer and director (1923–1933) of the Dresden adult education center (Volkshochschule), succeeding Fritz Kaphan. - Pioneered transnational approaches to education-politics synergy
- Post-war reconstruction advisor for British Zone adult education systems
Legacy: Shaped post-war German cultural policy debates through analyses of Sweden's democratic adult education systems, emphasizing institutional autonomy and societal integration.
