Franz Danksagmüller

Franz Danksagmüller is a renowned composer and organist, currently serving as Professor of Organ and Improvisation at the University of Music Lübeck since 2005. Previously, he was a lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (1995–2003) and held roles as organist and composer at the Cathedral of St. Pölten, Austria (1999–2005). His work bridges classical organ performance, electronic music, and improvisation, earning acclaim for innovative projects and live electronics performances.

Education includes studies in organ, composition, and electronic music at institutions in Vienna, Linz, Saarbrücken, and Paris under mentors such as Michael Radulescu, Daniel Roth, Erich Urbanner, and Karlheinz Essl.
