František Pergler is an Associate Professor of Piano at the Department of Keyboard Instruments, Faculty of Music and Dance, Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. His roles include teaching piano performance, chamber music (piano 4-hands, duos, trios), and pedagogical methodologies. He holds a Master’s and Doctorate from HTF VŠMU (1995 and 2000), specializing in Slovak piano art history. Since 1998, he has been active in teaching and research, earning the title of Associate Professor in 2008.
Research & Performance: Pergler focuses on piano interpretation, didactics, and chamber music. He has performed across Europe, collaborating with orchestras and chamber ensembles. Notable projects include recordings of Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances (2011), Schumann’s Poetic Pictures (2011), and Slovak composer Juraj Hatrík’s children’s music (2005). His duo with Ida Černecká explores works by Brahms, Debussy, and Slovak composers.
