Frans A. Spaepen is the John C. and Helen F. Franklin Professor of Applied Physics at Harvard University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), affiliated with the Materials Science & Mechanical Engineering department. His research focuses on amorphous materials, colloidal systems, and metrology. He collaborates with global metrology laboratories on high-precision Avogadro's number determination.
