Frank van Raffe

Frank van Raffe is a Researcher in the Department of Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality at Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on environmental soil chemistry, particularly the interactions between heavy metals, organic matter, and soil remediation.

Research Interests: Frank's research investigates the speciation and partitioning of contaminants like chromium(III) in soil systems, with a focus on humic substances and organic matter dynamics. He also explores how pH influences dissolved organic matter fractions in solid waste.

Projects: He is currently a PhD candidate leading the project How does sustainable landfill management influence the (hydro)geochemical processes that control contaminant emissions? under the supervision of Prof. R.N.J. Comans and J.E. Groenenberg.
