Frank Veenstra is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Groningen, specializing in Business Law, European Law, and Tax Law. He is affiliated with the Business Law, European Law and Tax Law department and teaches courses in Commercial Law (Handelsrecht), Bankruptcy Law (Faillissementsrecht), and Insurance Law (Verzekeringsrecht).
His research focuses on Dutch civil law, particularly corporate law and business entities as reflected in the Dutch Civil Code (BW). His work includes detailed annotations of specific articles in the civil code and analysis of court decisions related to business law.
Dr. Veenstra has published extensively on business law topics, with 148 research outputs including case notes, book chapters, and academic articles. His recent work (2022) primarily consists of annotations to articles in the Dutch Civil Code and commentaries on court decisions from the Amsterdam Court of Appeals (GHAMS) and Amsterdam District Court (RBAMS).
