Frank Sanna is a part-time lecturer at Concordia University, affiliated with the Communication Studies and Cinema departments. He teaches courses in moving images and sound, including COMS 485 – Moving Images III and FMPR 231 – Filmmaking I. His research-creation focuses on hybrid documentary and fiction filmmaking, exploring themes of belonging, identity, and emotional truth through poetic and personal modes of expression.

- BA in Graphic Design from Sheridan College
- MFA in Studio Arts: Film Production from Concordia University
Frank’s academic work is influenced by philosophers like Gaston Bachelard and Michael Polanyi, emphasizing the recovery of subjective knowledge in opposition to modern objectivism. His practice bridges theoretical inquiry with hands-on experience in film art departments, spanning roles such as Art Director and Graphic Designer in the television and film industry.
