Norwegian University of Science And Technologyمعرفی
Frank Mauseth is a Professor in the Department of Electric Energy at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on high voltage insulation techniques for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly electric power transfer and distribution, particularly modeling and experimental testing of design criteria related to ageing mechanisms and electric withstand strength of high voltage insulation materials.
His current research activities include
- Extruded cable insulation and accessories for HVDC and AC applications
- Gas discharges and breakdown mechanisms in gas and along solid surfaces
- Condition assessment and monitoring of insulation systems
Recent publications highlight his work on
- Ageing of environmentally friendly insulation gases under arcing conditions
- Design of high-voltage power modules using silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs
- Streamer inception and propagation in air and gas mixtures
- Breakdown voltage analysis for SF6-free insulation gases
He serves as course responsible for TET4160 High Voltage Insulating Materials and ET8102 Testing of High Voltage Insulation, while lecturing in several other high voltage technology courses.
