Frank M. Shipman is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University, part of the College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado (1993), an M.S. from the same university (1990), and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University (1988). His research focuses on intelligent user interfaces, hypertext systems, multimedia technologies, and computer-supported cooperative work. He has received notable awards including the ACM Distinguished Scientist designation (2009), TEES Center Fellow (2014), and a National Science Foundation CAREER Award (1998–2002).
