Frank Jensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on environmental and natural resource economics, with a particular emphasis on fisheries management, policy analysis, and cost-benefit evaluation. He holds a Master's in Economics from Odense University (1996) and a PhD from the University of Southern Denmark (2001).
Professional experience includes roles as Senior Research Fellow at FOI (2007–present) and the Institute of Local Government Studies Denmark (AKF, 2004–2007). His work spans applied environmental economics, policy design for natural resources, and the economic impacts of wildlife management strategies. Recent research explores user rights in fisheries, salmon aquaculture technologies, and predator-prey dynamics in Florida ecosystems.
Key contributions include a 2025 conference proceedings on fisheries governance and a 2024 analysis of Danish cod fishery taxation. His collaborative networks extend globally, with active participation in interdisciplinary projects addressing sustainable resource management.
