Frank Feltham is a Lecturer at the School of Design, RMIT University, with over 20 years of experience in industrial design, research, and education. His work bridges commercial design projects (e.g., exhibition design for automotive brands, furniture systems) with academic research focusing on assistive technologies in healthcare and wearable systems. He collaborates with RMIT’s Biomedical Engineering department to develop user-centered solutions for movement rehabilitation and sensory feedback systems.
Frank holds a PhD from the Design Lab at the University of Sydney. His research interests include healthcare design, wearable technology, ergonomics, and interdisciplinary education. He has led industry partnerships with Philips Design, Grimshaw Architects, and Humanscale, integrating industry insights into teaching.
His recent articles emphasize wearable sonification systems, biofeedback devices, and innovative educational approaches in biomedical engineering. Frank is open to supervising Masters and PhD students in areas like interactive feedback for anxiety disorders and multidisciplinary design applications.
