Frank Egerton is a Senior Tutor in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education (now Oxford Lifelong Learning). He serves as a Core Course Tutor for the Master of Studies in Creative Writing program and teaches Long Fiction on the Undergraduate Diploma course. Additionally, he works as Operations Manager at the Art, Taylor Institution and Nizami Ganjavi Libraries and as Librarian and Subject Consultant (Latin American History and Social Sciences) at the Bodleian Latin American Centre Library. He is also a Member of Common Room at Kellogg College.
Egerton's research interests focus on the intersection of creative writing and digital technologies. His work examines how eBooks and print-on-demand publishing are transforming the literary landscape and creating new opportunities for writers. He has a strong interest in digital scholarship and has participated in various digital humanities projects, including serving on the University's Research Data Management Delivery Group and as co-investigator on an Oxford e-Research Centre project exploring textual visualization.
His publications demonstrate a consistent engagement with literary fiction, memoir, and the evolving publishing industry. His work spans traditional novels, digital publications, and editorial projects that highlight emerging writers. Egerton has also published scholarly articles examining writing processes and literary analysis.

Egerton has supervised numerous MSt in Creative Writing students and taught across multiple Oxford University programs including the Undergraduate Diploma in Creative Writing, the Certificate of Higher Education, and various summer schools. He has also contributed to digital scholarship initiatives including the JISC-funded Sesame project where he served as Open Educational Resources Subject Editor for Creative Writing.
As founder of the StreetBooks micro-publishing imprint, Egerton has created opportunities for emerging writers while exploring innovative publishing models. His involvement with Writers in Oxford (as former Chair) and the Kellogg College Centre for Creative Writing demonstrates his commitment to fostering literary communities.
