Frank Buckless

Frank Buckless is the Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of the Poole College of Management at NC State University. Since assuming the role in 2019, he has driven enrollment growth, elevated national rankings, expanded graduate programs, and fostered industry partnerships. Prior to his deanship, Buckless served as Department Head of Accounting for 18 years, during which the department achieved AACSB accreditation and gained recognition for research in risk management and technology commercialization.

Research Interests:
Buckless focuses on accounting education, audit practices, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on leveraging technology to enhance classroom learning. His work has contributed to advancements in financial statement auditing and research methodology, impacting faculty development and pedagogical approaches.
