Frank Bargel

Frank Bargel serves as a Lecturer for Production Technology and Management in the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Wedel. He was Head of the Industrial Engineering Program from September 1, 1999 until September 30, 2024. As a VDI Contact Professor (Association of German Engineers), he is responsible for the recognition of Basic technical internships for B_Wing and B_ITE programs, and coordinates laboratory implementation for Akad University.

Dr. Bargel's research focuses on production technology and management, addressing topics in development and construction, manufacturing process development, production technology issues, production organizational issues, change and improvement processes, and quality management through cooperation with renowned companies. His teaching portfolio includes Technical Drawing, Introduction to Construction, Economical Manufacturing, Automation in Manufacturing, Production Engineering Project, and Project Study Technology.

With extensive industry experience from his time at Carl Dan. Peddinghaus / Peddinghaus Group / CDP Bharat Forge (1998-2006), where he managed R&D projects in toolmaking and mechanical manufacturing, Dr. Bargel brings practical expertise to his academic role. His office hours during the Summer Semester 2025 are Wednesdays from 12:00 to 13:00 in room Ü15, with additional appointments available via email or MS Teams.
