Francois Sainfort, Ph.D., FACHE is a Professor in the Department of Management at Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship, while also holding a joint appointment as Professor of Population Health Sciences in NSU's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. His career spans leadership roles at the University of Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, and the University of Minnesota, where he served as tenured full professor, associate dean, and division head respectively.

Dr. Sainfort's research focuses on applying decision sciences and systems engineering to healthcare quality improvement, medical decision making, and evidence-based medicine. His work bridges business and clinical domains through simulation modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, and patient-centered decision support systems. Recent publications highlight collaborations with Julie Jacko on ovarian cancer patient education platforms and pandemic-related substance use research.
As a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), he has received over $57.1 million in federal and private research funding from NIH, NSF, and CMS. His leadership experience includes directing the Complex Health Systems MBA program, associate deanship at Georgia Tech, and co-founding a joint health research institute between Emory University and Georgia Tech.
